About Mrs. Brantley
I am excited about the direction LLT is taking to equip leaders. I am the 8th grade Language Arts teacher. I graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Education and University of Phoenix with a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. The merging of two passions, English literature and youth, inspired me to become an English teacher.
I was raised in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, which is where I began my career in education. I began my career as an 8th grade Language Arts teacher in Pembroke Pines, Florida. Shortly after, I taught high school English courses in South Florida, Atlanta and Tampa. After a decade as a high school teacher, I returned to middle school!
As most people would guess, I enjoy reading. During my spare time, I also enjoy recreational sporting activities, exercising, volunteering, meditating, taste-testing, socializing, and watching reality T.V. My roles as chef, chauffeur, counselor, referee and manager to my family keep me most occupied. I describe myself as a life-long learner who is always eager to perfect my craft and incorporate innovative techniques.
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”
