I hope this letter finds you and your family well. I want to take a few minutes of your time to update you on our current school closing situation with a return date of March 30th, 2020. As we know, this could also be subject to change and we will follow the state and district guidelines for all public schools. The LLT website and Constant Contact email will be our mode of communicating with you.
My staff will report to school on Monday March 23rd to finalize the virtual learning process for our students. The process and procedures to provide virtual instruction while school is closed will be then be communicated out to all families. We sent all 2nd - 8th grade students home on Friday with their devices so they would be prepared to work from home. The K-1st teachers worked diligently on Friday to have packets and supplies ready to send home with their students.
Our school will undergo a deep cleaning during the closed week and we will be following the CDC guidelines when permitting staff and students back onto our campus. If we do reopen March 30th, those staff and students who have traveled outside the country or have been on a cruise will still not be permitted until the 14 days self-quarantine period is up.
What if I don't have access to internet?
Through our partnership with Spectrum, we are able to provide free Wi-Fi access for 60 days to households with K-12 and/or college students who do not already have a Spectrum broadband subscription at any service level up to 100 Mbps.
To enroll call 1-844-488-8395. Installation fees will be waived for new student households.
Wi-Fi hotspots across Spectrum’s footprint will also be available for public use.
Our students also have access to the Grab and Go food locations seen below.
Thank you for your support and patience during this time. Concern is with our own families and yours and we will all work together to do what it is best.
